HMD Global, makers of Nokia smartphones, is gearing up for a new collaboration device. This time, the company is collaborating with Marvel’s Venom: The Last Dance to create a special edition of its modular HMD Fusion.

HMD introduced the "ultimate symbiotic phone" on X. The teaser suggests that the Venom symbiote will replace the standard Fusion HMD, giving it a dramatic aesthetic.

As Venom: The Last Dance gears up for an October 25 release, fans of the franchise can expect the Venom-inspired HMD Fusion to launch soon. More details about this exciting collaboration will be revealed this weekend. Apart from aesthetics, the device's specifications are expected to remain unchanged.

HMD Fusion Features

The HMD Fusion features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. It runs on a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, has up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. It runs on Android 14 and has a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging.

For photography, the device is equipped with a dual 108MP rear camera and a 50MP front camera. Additional features include an IP54 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB Type-C port.

HMD Fusion focuses on maintainability, allowing users to easily replace components such as the display, back cover, charging port and battery, via iFixit. What sets the Fusion apart is its modular design with a six-pin connector that supports Smart Outfits. — special cases that offer hardware and software upgrades.
