As reported by the “Goniec” portal, some Polish seniors can count on an additional cash injection. It's not just about the annual payment of the thirteenth and fourteenth pension. Almost a million pensioners will receive higher basic benefits. Who can count on the benefit payment?

Polish seniors with higher benefits

A higher pension will be paid to seniors' accounts as early as March. This is all due to the annual indexation of benefits. This year's rate will most likely be 5.82 percent, although the final amount of the indexation will be known in February.

For some time now, there have been voices that the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy would like to raise the rate to 8.55 percent. This would happen if a 50 percent increase in wages in the economy were taken into account. However, no final decisions on this matter have been made.

Not only seniors receiving benefits from ZUS, but also farmers insured in KRUS can count on the March indexation of benefits. However, in the case of the latter, the indexation will not be as spectacular. Despite this, a million people may receive a higher benefit.

Pension increases in KRUS. How much will farmers receive??

Farmers' benefits, similarly to those of people insured in ZUS, will probably increase by a factor of 5.42 percent. In their case, the retirement benefit is calculated individually for each farmer. The basic benefit is 90 percent of the minimum benefit.

According to “Fakt” calculations, the basic benefit will increase to approx. 1689.74. The amount of pensions paid from KRUS also depends on the farmer's seniority. The higher it is, the higher the benefit. The average farmer will receive on average approx. PLN 90-100 “net”.

The benefit will be indexed automatically. There is no need to submit an application.
