    Congressman Hernando Guerra García (Popular Force) He addressed the so-called democratic bloc this Wednesday and said that if they cannot unite in the National Parliament, they will all have to leave.

    Through his Twitter account, the legislator indicated that since they could not join forces for the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections, they must make the effort this time.

    “Friends of the Democratic Bloc. A responsible opposition is done with: 1) Detachment of charges. 2) Maturity. 3) Loyalty and respect for agreements. 4) A plan to confront the enemy, who is in front and not on the sides ”, he wrote in the social network.

    “Since we couldn't join in the municipal ones, let's make the effort this time. And if we can't do it, let's all go and let those who can and want to take on the challenge come”, he added.

    The Board of Spokespersons of the Congress of the Republic convened a plenary session in which the new head of Parliament will be elected for this Monday, September 12, after Lady Camones was censored (Alliance for Progress).

    Furthermore, it was established that the deadline for presenting candidacies will be the day Sunday the 11th at 10 in the morning, exactly 24 hours before the election is held, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations of that State power.

    So far, no formal candidacy has been presented for the presidency of Parliament, vacant after Camones' censorship. However, the candidacies of Luis Aragón (Popular Action) and Guido Bellido (Free Peru) have been announced.

    The elections are scheduled to take place next week to determine the new leader of the Board of Directors, who will hold office until July 2023.
