Metal fans were asked which band(s) they would like to see at Hellfest next year, here are their answers. Cult bands from the 90s/2000s logically stand out.

Hellfest 2025: AC/DC, Rammstein, metal fans have made their choices

Hellfest, metal is increasingly popular

After another successful edition (240,000 metalheads took part), Hellfest can continue to look to the future with confidence. Barely after putting the four-day passes for the 2025 edition online in July, future festival-goers rushed to buy them, exhausting the entire stock in just 25 minutes: a record. A judge of peace that proves that the craze has probably never been so strong. The aura of the Clisson site is such that the Nantes Vineyard Tourist Office has shown visitors its more than 80 hectares.

An increase in popularity confirmed by Eric Perrin, the festival's communications manager.”There is even more excitement than last year. This is the first time that we have sold all the tickets so early in the year and they went as quickly as the passes sold in two batches last year. We are working hard on the 18th poster. We will try to reveal it in full.” in October or November next year and we will put the passes on sale one day in early 2025.»

System of a Down, Rammstein: trends in 2025

So after Metallica, Megadeth, Mass Hysteria, what can we expect for the new edition? While waiting for the official line-up, the Hellfest team published a post on Facebook on August 2, on which it invited metalheads to share their desires for next year.

Almost a month later, several groups stand out from the crowd. System of a DownFirst of all, the legendary Californian band led by Serj Tankian who deviates from the metal scene with his progressive rock and somewhat experimental touches. A credible choice since they had already been scheduled in 2020, but Covid came along in the meantime.

Next comes Rammstein, the German band that already created a stir at Hellfest in 2016, and which has played several dates in France between 2019 and 2024. Finally Korn and Gojira are the last two most popular groups. The first led by Jonathan Davis has no less than eleven albums that peak in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, and the second is a regular at Clisson since he has already produced in 2019 and 2022.

Let's not forget the cult classics AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine or Iron Maiden, who are garnering many votes. We will therefore know whether the trends that have emerged will be confirmed in the months to come. We remind you that the 18th edition will be held from June 19 to 22, 2025, with all the information currently at our disposal.
