As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, the woman rented a house from the suspect. In July 2024, she asked for help to sort out the bank account to which the state financial assistance for her missing son was supposed to come.

«The young man, taking advantage of the victim's trust, installed a mobile application on his phone to manage the account via Internet banking. In this way, he gained access to the card where the payment was received», – the UCP said.

About 20 facts of withdrawal of funds from the woman's card in the amount of almost 100 thousand UAH were established.

The suspect spent the money received on his own needs.
