"He missed everything, even the spelling": discomfort, a TPMP columnist leaves a book... with a mistake right from the title

By Quentin Piton Journalist Series – Cinema Journalist specializing in series, cinema, but also anime and manga. Spends his time dreaming of Emma Watson, considers Olivier Giroud the GOAT and refuses to speak with those who are against the absolute truth which is: How I Met Your Mother is a better series than Friends. To release a book is the dream of a lifetime for many people and it is the one that Jean-Michel Maire has just realized. Unfortunately, while he was proud to present the publication of his memoirs on Twitter, the columnist of TPMP finds himself today at the center of many mockeries. In question ? Internet users discovered a huge spelling mistake in the title.

A TPMP columnist releases his biography

Jean-Michel Maire is still part of the cast of Do not touch my post (C8), but the columnist is much less present around Cyril Hanouna's table. A disappointment for fans of the show, but an inevitable situation. In addition to wanting to breathe and take time for himself after a career spent in the media, the journalist has been mostly busy in recent months with another project.

It was on Twitter that Jean-Michel Maire revealed the news: he has just written a book. And not just any. “I'm taking out my memoirs, he said this Wednesday, November 16, 2022.So yes, I'm still young, but I thought it would be easier to write them from my lifetime“. And to accompany this unexpected announcement, the journalist unveiled the cover of this book.

Internet users laugh at a huge fail

What motivates fans to buy it? Hard to say. If we trust the first reactions on social networks, Internet users prefer for the moment to make fun of such a project. And for good reason, the title chosen is the victim of a huge spelling error since it reads, “Memory of a happy loser“, where should have preferred “loser” with a single “o”. Indeed, “Looser” spelled this way actually exists, but it means “looser, more unstable“.

< p>Also, even though the cover is punctuated with a quote from Cyril Hanouna who declares, “He missed everything, except this book“, Internet users today cannot help but laughing at a failure as monumental as it is ironic. “Make a mistake on the cover, shit” can be read on Twitter, just like “A mistake in the title and a recommendation of Chanuna. It makes you want (no)” or “In your Oser team (a single O is enough), no one was able to tell you that there was a fault? Say, it looks promising for the inside…“.

Despite everything, doubt exists concerning the credibility of this fail. While the photo of the cover sees him looking at the horizon on the wrong side (which accentuates this failed side), it is not stupid to think that Jean-Michel Maire deliberately misspelled “loser” to go even further in the failures that made up his career.

>

Conversely, the idea that he was really wrong exists. This book is obviously self-published (in other words, the journalist did not necessarily benefit from the support of an editorial team) and the word “looser” and its derivative “loose” are repeated several times on the 4th cover and inside the book…
