He looked for clients via messenger and sent them by mail: weapons sales exposed in the Carpathian region

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, law enforcement officers detained a 39-year-old man who was selling unregistered firearms and ammunition. The suspect was looking for customers through messengers and sending goods by mail.

This is reported by the National Police.

The perpetrator kept weapons and explosive devices at home. During a controlled purchase, KORD special forces detained him at the scene of the crime. An assault rifle, over a thousand rounds of ammunition and a hand grenade were seized from the man.

In total, during searches in Ivano-Frankivsk region and in Kyiv, where the man also illegally sold weapons, police officers found 25 thousand rounds of ammunition, assault rifles, pistols, grenades, grenade launcher shots and mines.

The suspect is charged with illegal trafficking in weapons (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). An investigation is underway to establish supply channels and possible accomplices.
