He leaked to the enemy the locations and routes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - a traitor was detained in Kharkiv

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a citizen was reported on suspicion of high treason committed under martial law.

According to the investigation, a resident of Kharkiv began to voluntarily cooperate with Russian special services in the fall of 2024. The man was recruited by an employee of the Russian Federal Security Service via messenger. The suspect was tasked with collecting information about the locations and movement routes of Ukrainian defenders.

To confirm his willingness to cooperate, the man sent his interlocutor a written commitment, and later a video in which he repeatedly agreed to work for the enemy. He chose the pseudonym «Tyson».

The suspect was looking for the locations of Ukrainian defenders in Kharkiv and Chuhuiv district. He sent the collected data in the form of marks on Google Maps, accompanying them with text messages with explanations.

During the searches, a mobile phone with evidence of illegal activity was found and seized from him.

Currently, the suspect has been chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention without setting the amount of bail.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support are carried out by the SBU Department in the Kharkiv region.
