The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 took place live in Malmö, Sweden, on May 11. During it, 25 countries competed for the victory and the honor of hosting the next year's song contest.

After 4 hours of music, performances, entertainment and excitement, the winner of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest was Nemo from Switzerland. with the song “The Code”.

Nemo received a total of 591 points (365 points from the national jury and 226 points from the audience).

As you have already understood, it did not go by. During Nemo's winning performance at the end of the four-hour show, the singer accidentally dropped the microphone-shaped glass trophy, injuring his thumb.

Not only did I crack “The Code,” I smashed the trophy. I also broke my thumb. But I got a new one (trophy – Radio MAXIMUM), so technically now I have two of them,
– Nemo said during the press conference after the show, where his arm was wrapped in a bandage.

Please note that representatives of Ukraine, alyona alyona and jerry heil took third place, which is super cool. They have 453 points in total: 307 from the audience and 146 from the professional jury. We are proud of them!

What is known about Nemo

  • Nemo Mettler (August 3, 1999) is a Swiss non-binary rapper, singer and musician born in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. In addition to singing, Nemo also plays the violin, piano and drums. Nemo is currently signed to Swiss label Bakara Music. In the second season of the Swiss show The Masked Singer, Nemo was transformed into a panda after finishing in 5th place.
  • Since 2015, Nemo has been active in the music industry and has released several EPs and singles. Their first mini-album “Clownfisch” was released on June 23, 2015 and reached the 95th place in the Swiss music chart. Nemo's most popular single to date is 2017's “Du,” which peaked at number four and went platinum on the Swiss charts.
  • Nemo also has numerous awards. In 2017, he won the Energy Music Award for Best Swiss Artist and the Prix Walo Award for Newcomer. Nemo currently has five Swiss Music Awards: one in 2017 for Best Talent and four in 2018 for Best Male Solo Performance, Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Live Performance and Best Hit for “Du”.
