A woman in her thirties died this Saturday in the Ecrins massif (Hautes-Alpes), victim of rock falls, reported the Briançon PGHM.

The accident occurred while the mountaineer was crossing the Sialouze ridges reserved for experienced climbers.

Rescuers from the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) of Versoud intervened at; 12:50 p.m., and evacuated the victim to Briançon Hospital, where she succumbed to his injuries, addedé the PGHM without providing more details on the circumstances of the accident.

Last June, two mountaineers in their thirties had already found death in the Ecrins, after having unscrewed in the Meyer-Dibona route, on the north face of the Dôme des Neiges.
