Harry Rosen, founder of ;a men's clothing chain, died at age 92

Founder of Canadian men's clothing retailer Harry Rosen has died at the age of 92.< /p>

Harry Rosen opened his first custom men's clothing store on Parliament Street in Toronto in 1954, and ran the business for 51 years until 'for his son, Larry Rosen, to become president and CEO.

In a statement, Larry Rosen confirmed his father's death Sunday, saying he had wanted his business to exist, one customer at a time and that his passion for men's fashion and fashion was contagious.

A recipient of the Order of Canada in 2004, Mr. Rosen has been involved with the Canadian Paraplegic Association, the Breast Cancer Corporate Fund, the Cancer Care Fund, the Mount Sinai Friends for Life campaign, United Way , the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the University Health Network (UHN).

While the company that bears his name was known for dressing Canada's elite by offering tailored suits in 20 retail stores across Canada, it has expanded in recent years to include a casual wear collection.

Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel says Mr. Rosen is survived by his wife Evelyn, with whom he was married for 68 years, with four children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
