Maggie Smith Leaves With J.K. Rowling's Good Grace

Maggie Smith is unfortunately not the first actress in the universe to pass away.In 2013 we had the death of Richard Griffiths, the uncle Vernon Dursley that we loved to hate. Then in 2016 Alan Rickman, the fabulous Professor Snape and Half-Blood Prince and the following year John Hurt, our favorite magic wand maker Garrick Ollivander. Before losing for three years in a row to from 2021: Helen McCrory, the interpreter of Narcissa Malfoy – the mother of our hero's best enemy -, Robbie Coltrane, our gamekeeper and professor of care for magical creatures Rubeus Hagrid and finally, Michael Gambon who lent his features to Albus Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of all time and headmaster of Hogwarts School of Magic; the latter also succeeded in the role of Richard Harris who left us in 2002. 87.webp” type=”image/webp”>Harry Potter: J.K. This great literary and cinematographic saga that has marked more than one generation, has unfortunately not finished seeing some of its performers leave us and it was yesterday that the sad news fell; Maggie Smith has gone to join heaven. Indeed, the British actress who lent her features to the fabulous Minerva McGonagall died at the age of 89. It is therefore without surprise that J.K. Rowling, the creator of this magical universe, paid tribute on X in a moving publication:

Somehow I thought she'd live forever.

In a way, I thought she would live forever.

Rest in peace, Dame Maggie Smith.

Very touching words from the mother of our young wizard, to arguably the most legendary professor at Hogwarts and the archetype of the witch we love. As J.K. Rowling so aptly put it; rest in peace, Dame Maggie Smith.

Let your your most beautiful tributes in the comments section and discover why the future Harry Potter series is already at the heart of a trial.
