Over the years, the Halo game series has been an Xbox exclusive. Only recently did Microsoft decide to re-release some parts and add-ons to release them on personal computers. In addition to the main story, those who have already purchased The Master Chief Collection from Steam or Microsoft Store will be able to play. Halo 3: ODST will also be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Additionally, after the September 22 release, Xbox One owners will have access to the Firefight game mode. In it, gamers will receive cooperative content. PC owners will have to wait until the main project is launched on their platform.
It is noted that the release of Halo 3: ODST will take place exactly 11 years after its release in 2009. When that happens, fans of the series will only have to wait until Halo 4 is released. This game is the only game in a compilation not made by members of the Bungie studio. It was created by the efforts of the teams from 343 Industries.
