Half of the federal tax revenues received from residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation will return to the region of presence, Deputy Minister of Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexander Krutikov said today at the Arctic Investor Day, which is being held by the Murmansk authorities together with the ministry in Murmansk.
“We agreed in principle with the Ministry of Finance that half of the federal taxes that will be collected as a result of the implementation of new investment projects in the Arctic zone, that is, those projects that will be implemented on the territory of the priority development” Capital of the Arctic “, projects of residents of the Arctic zone, (. .) which will be implemented with state support, through a special mechanism, we will send back to the region for the development of its social infrastructure, “he said.
The deputy minister added: “Thus, we expect that the Arctic zone will have its own stable systemic source of financing for social development, which will help to pull up to a sufficiently high rate of economic development and the rate of development of the social sphere.”
According to Krutikov, this mechanism is planned to be developed by the end of this year, so that in 2021, half of federal taxes from Arctic residents are returned to the regions.
