President Gustavo Petro held a dialogue with the community media on Tuesday to talk about the first 100 days of his government. There, he referred to various important issues for the country and territories, among which was the National Development Plan (PND), of which he presented its bases before the Congress of the Republic this Tuesday.
In order to gather the concerns and needs of each region regarding the PND route, the national government plans to carry out at least fifty regional dialogues, consisting of meetings with local officials and villagers.
“After the council of ministers, the bases of the PND were presented. There we discussed the relevance of bringing together the Government Program, elected by the majority, and the decisions of the regional dialogues”, the president said in this regard.
Then he added what his It seems that the biggest challenge of these regional dialogues will be to systematize the solutions so that they can be applied. “We must systematize the conclusions of what will be the 50 regional dialogues, the proposals that people have made and quantify them, because they have to be resolved in works and that means money.”
< p class="paragraph">It should be mentioned that the PND bill must be presented to Congress no later than February 7th for it to be approved before May 7th, as indicated by law. This document is extremely important because it is the road map for the Government for the next four years.

For his part, the head of the Interior portfolio, Alfonso Prada, as spokesman for the National Government reported that the entire ministerial cabinet was in session of Expanded CONPES, to define the bases and the first draft of the National Development Plan.
This PND also incorporates a historical and differential variable compared to the Development Plans that the country has historically had, “as are the binding dialogues in the national territory, there are already 34 of them where close to have participated 200,000 Colombians in 26 departments. We have visited or listened to citizens from more than 800 municipalities, we still have 18 binding regional dialogues to hold,” said the Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Prada.
Finally, the government spokesperson specified that “what was discussed was the first draft of the bases of the National Development Plan that we will deliver next Tuesday, November 15 and February 7 to the National Planning Council, where we will already have the final version of the National Development Plan, with its articles, we will carry out these new binding regional dialogues and we will continue, receiving contributions from both the National Planning Council and the general public”, emphasized the minister.
