Guardians of the Galaxy: Dave Bautista loses 35kg, he is unrecognizable

Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista is at a new turning point in his career. The former wrestler, who retired in the late 2010s, is now focusing on his acting career. While it was his impressive physique that allowed him to land the role of Drax in the MCU and avoid bankruptcy, he is now choosing a new silhouette. And the least we can say is that his weight loss is astonishing!

Dave Bautista is unrecognizable with his 35 kilos less

Dave Bautista no longer has the same physique at 55 as he did at 54. Last year, when he was still rolling his hump in the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy 3, the former wrestler still had his massive, athletic build. In just a few months, however, this 1m94 colossus made a 180-degree turn, losing 35 kilos! The actor said goodbye to his XXL build, thanks to which he made a place for himself in Hollywood, to focus on his acting. The star was barely recognizable this weekend when he walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for the presentation of The Last Showgirl. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Dave Bautista confided that he had never been so thin.

I am becoming super thin, that's probably the lightest I've ever been since I was 19… I used to weigh up to 370 pounds. For most of my wrestling career, I was around 300 pounds. Now, I'm around 230 pounds whereas I was still 300 pounds a year and a half ago when I did Knock at the Cabin! That's when the nightmare began. Losing that weight was a challenge. Now, I'm very meticulous about my diet…

The Last Showgirl, the new film by Gia Coppola (granddaughter of Francis Ford and niece of Sofia) tells the story of a former dancer (Pamela Anderson) who must rebuild her life. Another interesting career choice on the part of Dave Bautista, who recently confirmed that he was done with the MCU.
