GSC Game World has announced plans to update the iconic Stalker trilogy for modern PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, as well as the release of new patches for PC versions.
In their appeal to the gaming community, the developers shared details of their plans to support their projects. In early 2025, GSC will present a roadmap dedicated to the development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Next year, the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy will receive native versions for the new generations of consoles PS5 and Xbox Series. Currently, the games work on these platforms through backward compatibility with PS4 and Xbox One, but the updates will allow you to take advantage of more powerful hardware and improved graphics.
GSC mentioned yesterday's patch 1.1 for Stalker 2, which was as large as 110 GB, almost as large as the game itself. The update fixes about 1,800 bugs, both visual and gameplay. For example, now the A-Life system, designed to simulate the turbulent life in the Zone, has finally started working.
