« Zelena energy» increases US dependence on China: report  Switching to renewable energy could make US vulnerable. A new report calls for strengthening the country's energy security in the face of a military threat from China. Amid growing pressure from China, the stability of energy supplies is crucial for of the US Armed Forces. And with the development of renewable energy sources, the threat may become even stronger. Brent Sadler thinks so – analyst at the Heritage Foundation's Ellison Center for National Security.</p>
<p>But clean energy comes at a price. The switch costs more, and the production volume decreases. This makes the US more vulnerable to threats from China.</p>
<p>According to the analyst, increasing the number of nuclear power plants will help support the military's energy supply.</p>
<p>And Congress agrees. The Senate has put a bipartisan bill on President Biden's desk that would speed up permitting and incentivize the construction of nuclear power plants.</p>
<p>As the threat from the CCP grows, it is becoming clear that a reliable energy reserve – vital to US national security.</p>
