Great Wall decided to return to the Russian car market after a long absence. Soon, Russians will be able to purchase SUVs from this brand. No details have been released yet, but dealers are gearing up to receive the first vehicles this month. Initially, it was assumed that they would be assembled at an enterprise in the Tula region, but these plans were adjusted, and a decision was made to supply finished products from the PRC. The first model will be the Wingle 7 crossover. After it, almost immediately, the premium-class Pao pickup will be on sale. Their prices have not yet been announced, but some technical characteristics are already known, which appeared thanks to the conclusion of the OTTS.
This is the first model on the market. It will be available in two powerplant variations. The first is the Shenyang naturally aspirated gasoline engine. With a volume of 2.4 liters, it generates 150 horsepower. The second is called GW4D20D. This engine is equipped with a turbine and uses diesel as fuel. The 2.0-liter unit is capable of developing power at the level of 143 “horses”. Both are combined exclusively with a manual transmission. Details and pickup have not yet been revealed, according to 32cars.
