Great Britain tested the new SPEAR cruise missile for F-35 fighters: what it can do

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain conducted successful tests of a new air-to-ground cruise missile. SPEAR, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 100 kilometers.

This was reported by the department on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

There it was noted that SPEAR is a new generation missile system designed for hitting a wide range of targets. Among them:

The missile can operate in any weather conditions, day and night, which significantly increases its versatility during hostilities.

SPEAR missiles will be used on British F-35B Lightning fighters. Due to its characteristics, the missile will expand the capabilities of combat aviation of Great Britain. SPEAR autonomously moves toward the target on a customizable route, using advanced all-weather radar to map the impact area and radio frequency imagery to successfully engage the target.
