Google, which wants to concentrate more on the cloud gaming platform as such in the future, has announced over 100 new games for Stadia (test) for the current year and will start with the first 9 new titles on February 23. The upcoming Far Cry 6 and FIFA 21 are also among the new releases.
100 new games, but no more of their own
In addition to the action game from Ubisoft – Far Cry 6 will be released on February 18 – and the next annual rudimentary product update of EA’s licensing machinery, the action RPG Hellpoint based on the Unity engine is particularly worth mentioning. The first titles on Stadia will start on February 23.

Whether Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge and It came from space and ate our brains, or Kaze and the Wild Masks, Killer Queen Black and Street Power Football, many things seem like filling. Only the spin-off of the well-known Yakuza series Judgment, published by Sega, stands out worth mentioning.

No more own games for Google Stadia
Google does not want to develop and sell its own games for the time being and has therefore discontinued the Stadia Games and Entertainment (SG&E) division and is now focusing on the platform and partnerships with game developers who are to develop and market titles externally for Stadia.
However, the company would like to stick to its cloud gaming service and refers in this context to the positive start of Cyberpunk 2077 (test) on Stadia.
Whether a long-term success for Google Stadia can even be achieved with this catalog of games remains to be seen in the coming months.
