Google Maps for Android gets “dark mode”

The popular mapping service Google Maps has a so-called “dark mode”. According to the owners of devices operating under Android OS, an update to the Google Maps application with the ability to install a new theme is already being distributed.

“Dark Mode” is available in Google Maps from version 10.51.1 for Android 11 mobile devices. To activate the option, go to “Application settings”. It shows how the page will look if you select dark or another mode.

It's worth noting that Google regularly updates the popular navigation service. At the end of summer, the company made Google Maps more detailed and colorful, and a few days ago a so-called “anti-virus” layer appeared in the Russian version.
