Google is working on a new download menu interface for Chrome browser, reports Android Police Portal.

placed next to the address bar. While actively downloading files, a progress bar, remaining time, and other information will also be displayed to the right of the URL. Previously, file downloads were displayed as a separate bar at the bottom, which took up useful screen space.

In addition to visual updates in Google Chrome, we also discovered a new feature that allows you to move downloaded files from the "Downloads" in any app or folder without opening the downloads folder. If you move files in this way, for example, to your desktop, they will disappear from the folder where they were originally downloaded.

The update is already available in the latest version of Chrome Canary. The new downloads menu needs to be enabled with the download-bubble flag as the feature is still in testing. With a similar flag, you can also activate the new interface and the display of the “Downloads” section. for the latest stable version of the browser, however in drag files will not work in this case.
