The situation on the labor market in the Russian Federation remains stable, the number of registered unemployed decreased to 562.5 thousand people over the week, the Deputy Prime Minister said Tatyana Golikova following the meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the restoration of the labor market.

“In October, the unemployment rate according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization has not changed compared to September and remains at the level of 3.9%. A consistent decrease in registered unemployment continues – 562.5 thousand unemployed citizens are registered in employment centers. The situation on the labor market is stable and is under constant control,” Golikova said, her words were quoted in the vice-premier's office.

A week ago, it was reported about 564 thousand registered unemployed.

Also in the Office of the Vice – the prime minister reported that the decrease in the number of idle employees continues – from 76.3 thousand to 72.3 thousand people, and citizens working part-time or working week – from 81 thousand to 78, 6 thousand people.

The office clarified that under the conditions of sanctions pressure, along with financial and economic instruments, measures were taken to support the labor market, aimed at preserving labor collectives and ensuring employment. For each organization that restructures its work in the current conditions, individual plans are developed, and personal curators are assigned to such organizations. Particular attention is paid to the selection of personnel for individual enterprises and industries.
