(Anaheim) John Gibson stood up to 32 shots and the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 on Sunday night.
Gibson also blocked 32 pucks against the Avalanche on Friday night, but the Colorado Troop had the upper hand 3-2 in overtime thanks to a Gabriel Landeskog goal.
This time around, the Ducks have done enough on offense and defense to secure a second win in six outings this season.
Jakob Silfverberg, Rickard Rakell and Hampus Lindholm moved the strings for Anaheim’s roster. Silfverberg set the tone in the 58e second of the clash and Rakell scored the winning goal halfway through the second period.
Mikko Rantanen hit the target for the fifth straight game and tied for the top scorers on the Bettman Tour.
Nathan MacKinnon received a sixth assist for the Avalanche. Philipp Grubauer has given up twice in 14 shots.
