Giant Tiger data compromised due to vendor 'incident'

Giant Tiger announces that the contact details of some of its customers were compromised during a supplier-related “incident” third party that she uses.

Spokeswoman Alison Scarlett did not name the supplier, but said the Ottawa-based discount retailer uses it to manage its communications and customer relations.

< p class="StyledBodyHtmlParagraph-sc-48221190-4 hnvfyV">After recently becoming aware of a security issue with the vendor, Scarlett says Giant Tiger began contacting its customers about the incident, urging them to use caution when using security issues. they open emails and receive phone calls.

Ms. Scarlett maintains that no payment information or passwords were part of the data compromised.

Giant Tiger store systems and applications were also not affected.
