Germany transferred two IRIS-T SLS air defense launchers to Ukraine

The German government reported on Thursday, August 17 about the next tranche of military aid to Ukraine over the past week, which included, in particular, two IRIS-T SLS launchers.

This is reported by "European Truth" with reference to the press service of the German government.

In addition to the IRIS-T launchers, Germany transferred more than 4,500 155 mm smoke shells to Ukraine.

The new package also included 10 GO12 ground surveillance radars.

Ukraine also received four HX81 tractors and four semi-trailers, as well as eight loaders.

IRIS-T SLS — this is a short-range air defense system. There are no transport and launch containers in the SAM installation. Missile range — 12 km above the target height of up to 8 km.

In one of the previous aid packages, Germany gave Ukraine two more launchers of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex.
