Photo: Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun /from open sources
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received from Germany three more Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, 11 M113 armored personnel carriers and a thousand dry rations. This was reported by the German government.
In general, Ukraine was given 15 Gepard anti-aircraft guns and 44 M113 armored personnel carriers . Next to be delivered to Ukraine:
- 20 70 mm rocket launchers with two thousand missiles and laser target illumination;< /li>
- 1592 155 mm artillery ammunition;
- 255 155 mm Vulcano artillery ammunition;
- 60 200 40 mm rounds;
- 6 loaders;
- 40 electronic anti-drone devices;
- 12 armored recovery vehicles;
- 30 MG3 machine guns for Bergepanzer support armored vehicles.
Gepard – German anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery mount on the chassis of the Leopard tank 1. The turret, which can rotate a full circle, is equipped with two 35 mm Oerlikon KDA cannons and two radars.
Each of the guns has a rate of fire of 550 rounds per minute. The length of the barrels is 90 calibers (3.15 m), the initial velocity of the projectiles is 1440 m/s, the effective range is 5500 m/s.
The ammunition load includes 640 airborne rounds and 40 armor-piercing rounds for ground targets.
M113 armored personnel carrier – This is a caterpillar vehicle weighing 10.4 tons. It can accommodate up to 12 fighters, as well as the driver. The vehicle has armor protection reinforced with ceramic plates, which makes it possible to provide protection against weapons with a caliber of up to 14.5 mm. Bottom The vehicle protects the crew from mines and improvised explosive devices.
The M113 has a turret with an upgraded 12.7 mm Browning M2HB-QCB machine gun.
