Gareth Bale announces retirement

The Welsh striker of the football club “Los Angeles” Gareth Bale announced his retirement. He announced this in his Twitter .

After After careful and thoughtful reflection, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football. I am lucky to have fulfilled my dream and practice my favorite sport. From the first touch at Southampton" to the last one in LA a club career that I am proud and grateful for. I am moving into the next phase of my life with anticipation.

33-year-old Gareth Bale began his football career at Southampton in England. in 2006. In 2007, he moved to the London club Tottenham Gotspur, where he was awarded the title of the best player in the English Premier League at the end of the 2012/2013 season.

In 2013, Bale  moved to Real Madrid. With the Spanish club, he won the Champions League five times and the Spanish championship three times. Since the summer of 2022, Bale has played for the American Los Angeles.

Since 2006 Gareth Bale was regularly called up to the Wales national team until 2022. In 2016, Bale reached the semi-finals of the European Championship as part of the Welsh national team.

At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Wales "relegated"&nbsp ;at the group stage stage, Bale was the team captain. As part of the Wales national team, Bale played 111 matches, scored 40 goals and gave 22 assists.
