After Elon Musk's speech at Donald Trump's inauguration, where the businessman very clearly raised his right hand at a right angle, before placing it over his heart. Musk made this gesture twice, which caused a very violent reaction on the Internet.
After that, the largest Reddit communities, such as r/Fantasy, r/RPG and r/DnD, immediately began to delete posts that contained links to X (formerly Twitter), the social network that is now owned by Musk.
The moderator of the Old School Renaissance subreddit, a board game subreddit that was the first to introduce restrictions on Twitter, wrote that he does not label anyone a Nazi, but if a person shows the Nazi salute twice at a public event, then what else can you call such a person.
On the DnD subreddit, they decided to take the Twitter ban decision to the courts. According to the results of the poll, over 15 thousand people voted to block links to X.
After that, the forum moderator wrote that a real holivar broke out in the comments, which, however, helped to identify users who did not really fit into the DnD community:
“This discussion was a real test for moderation, but it coped with the task perfectly, pulled all the idiots out of the shadows so that we could ban them.”
But the r/Fantasy subreddit went further than everyone else, where they ban all materials that are at least somehow related to Twitter, including screenshots and videos from the social network.
