Pete Hegseth, a candidate for US Defense Secretary and the choice of President-elect Donald Trump, accidentally hit drummer Jeff Prosperi with an axe nine years ago. This was reported by the British tabloid Daily Express.

The incident occurred in 2015 during an axe-throwing competition on the Fox and Friends show. Pete Hegseth, who was then a host on Fox News, threw the axe past the huge target. The ax handle hit the musician in the hand.

Three years later, the injured Prosperi filed a lawsuit against the TV channel for the injuries he allegedly received. Fox News representatives claim that immediately after the incident they offered the musician medical assistance and compensation, but he refused, saying that he was “fine.” The situation was later resolved.

BAGNET recalls that on November 13, it became known that Donald Trump proposed appointing Fox News host Pete Hegseth, also a veteran of the US National Guard and who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, to the post of Pentagon chief.
