AVL is also involved in the planning and construction of the Norwegian factory for the production of fuel cells with an output of 1200 megawatts per year. That was announced yesterday. The goal is to establish the first mass production of fuel cells in Norway and to become a hub for the Norwegian hydrogen industry, says Tore Enger, head of Teco 2030.
In addition to the factory, there will also be an innovation center. Production in the plant is planned from 2022. With a planned investment of around 100 million euros, 500 jobs are to be created at the site.
