A resident of Belaya Tserkov in December last year recruited a member of the Russian intelligence service, informs the Security Service of Ukraine. 

Giving a written consent to cooperate with the enemy, the agent received the operational pseudonym "Shadow" and was given the task to covertly collect information about the locations and movements of units of the Defense Forces in the territory of the Kiev region.

The Russian agent tried to identify command and control headquarters and warehouses with artillery weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, he handed over to the aggressor the coordinates of local critical infrastructure facilities, including power generating enterprises to prepare a series of targeted missile strikes.

Counterintelligence agents detained an enemy agent while trying to collect classified information about Ukrainian military bases.

< p>The traitor kept in touch with the FSB through a telegram channel, where he uploaded the information received in the form of photo and video materials with reference to the location.

In the future, the attacker had to create an extensive agent network for greater “coverage” region to collect intelligence data in favor of the Russian Federation.

During searches at the address of the detainee's residence, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones with evidence of correspondence with the aggressor. The defendant also had a Russian passport and pro-Kremlin symbols.

SBU investigators informed him of a suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). The issue of choosing a measure of restraint in the form of detention is being decided.
