On Monday, in my column, I told you about this wave of denunciations of incest which has been sweeping in France since the publication of the book La familia grande, by Camille Kouchner.

I was saying that I was hoping that a similar book would be written here in Quebec so that “tongues are released” and “speech is released”.
However, as soon as my column was published, I received disturbing testimonies of real incest stories … well from home.
THEIR LITTLE SECRET
These testimonials are not easy to read.
A lady wrote to me: “I was assaulted by my 6 year old father until I was around 14 years old. Why did it stop, you will ask me? Quite simply because we happily moved to a house where the door to my room was locked. “
A reader said to me: “I haven’t slept since your Monday column; because I’m 57 and I’m tired of my own silence; because incest has occupied my life too much. “
A victim of incest who became a teacher affirms: “Being a secondary school teacher, I still see too much in a time when all taboos seem to have fallen. That no ! And luckily, I was able to help some of my students who trusted me ”.
A man wrote to me to tell me his take on an incest story that affected him indirectly. A student accused him (falsely) of harassing her. “The young girl’s mother had been the victim of incest and the grandfather lived with them. The girl was in therapy with the school psychologist. All warm men were dangerous for her … “
But fortunately, among these darker testimonies, I also found shards of humanity.
” The second time [que j’en ai parlé] was when I told my boyfriend at the age of 16. He was 22. We had only been dating for a few weeks, and although we were very chaste, he was still surprised that I jumped when he grabbed me around the waist or tried to kiss me. I then told him the truth. His reaction: he wanted to go and kill my father. For the first time, someone believed me and most importantly, was ready to protect me. And Thursday, it will be 47 years that we are together … “
NOTHING TO SEE !
Among the reactions to my text, in the “They didn’t understand anything” category, there is also the “doc” Mailloux who spoke about my column in his show on YouTube with Josey Arsenault.
He drew a parallel, to speak of stepfathers who molest children, between Camille Kouchner’s stepfather and American filmmaker Woody Allen, who supposedly slept with his adopted daughter.
How many times will it be necessary to repeat it that:
1- Woody Allen was not Soon-Yi Prévin’s adoptive father (she was adopted by conductor André Prévin and Mia Farrow);
2- Woody Allen and Mia Farrow did not live together so he can in no way be considered a “stepfather”.
3- Soon-Yi was of age when Allen started sleeping with her. She was … 22 years old!
