France tested the Jaguar BRM in the fight against surface drones (video)

The French Navy conducted exercises during which the EBRC Jaguar BRM was used against surface drones.< /p>

The armored reconnaissance vehicle was successfully used to destroy surface and aerial kamikaze drones. The video report was published by the French Navy on the X social network. During the Wildfire maneuvers, an armored vehicle belonging to the 1st Cavalry Regiment of the Foreign Legion was placed on the EDA-R landing craft. From there, she opened fire with a 40mm autocannon, using programmable airburst rounds to destroy the drones.

The exercise was aimed at improving crews' skills in combating unmanned threats, which are increasingly being used to attack military and civilian targets. At the same time, France continues to patrol the Red Sea, where the main danger remains kamikaze drones launched by the Yemeni Houthis.

This scenario demonstrates the effectiveness of the 40mm CTA40 guns on the EBRC Jaguar, which are capable of supporting the air defense of amphibious ships.
