“Now foreign subsidiaries of Russian organizations can register ownership of their aircraft in the unified state register of rights to civil aircraft and transactions with them. Copies of constituent and title documents will serve as the basis for registration,” the government website said in a statement.< /p>
As noted, insurance, reinsurance and maintenance of aircraft will also be carried out in Russia.
The decision was made due to sanctions pressure against the Russian Federation, which affected foreign subsidiaries of Russian legal entities. Because of this, “problems could arise with the further operation of their aircraft.”
“The signed resolution will help mitigate such risks and allow Russian companies to maintain a fleet of aircraft for passenger air transportation,” the report says.
Previously, the government allowed domestic airlines to register ownership of aircraft leased or leased from foreign partners.
