The drone performed the landing recently at Ben Gurion Airport. This happened as part of the tests of the new scout Heron. In the process of maneuvers, the developer tried to understand how effectively the UAV detects ships in the air while being in a single space, and the ability to avoid collisions with such was tested. The device took off from the Ein Shemer military base, reached the airport, and after landing again returned to the air and headed to the base.
The drone was controlled remotely by the operator using a satellite channel. At the same time, the airport continued to operate normally. Heron is one of the best-selling drones in Israel, and it is used for reconnaissance.
