A fire broke out on a Ferris wheel during a music festival near Leipzig in Germany. More than 30 people were injured, two of them in serious condition, Spiegel reports.
The emergency occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on August 17, when two cabins of the Ferris wheel caught fire. People were gradually evacuated, the festival was interrupted. As a result of the fire, two cabins burned down completely.
According to preliminary data, most of the victims received mainly minor injuries. They were taken to hospital.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
