Finland has made its first deployment for NATO since joining the Alliance in April 2023, sending seven F-18 fighters to a military base in southeastern Romania. This reports Global news.

From the words of the commander of the Finnish unit Karelia Air Wing  Johan Anttila, The planes will perform air defense missions together with Romanian and British aircraft.

“I am confident that with this enhanced air defense mission, our integration into NATO will take a big leap forward. We as the team will learn a lot, and all this will strengthen NATO's deterrence and defense,” said the commander of the Finnish Karelia Air Wing
