The Ministry of Youth and Sports recognized the Lviv football club “Karpaty” as critically important for the functioning of the economy during martial law. The club received the opportunity to reserve from the mobilization of at least 50% of conscripted employees.
On May 2, an order appeared on the website of the Ministry of Sport to designate the limited liability company “FC Karpaty” as the one that corresponds to criteria and is critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihood of the population in a special period.
The status of “critically important” allows not to mobilize 50% of conscripted workers. And in case of justified need the number of conscripts subject to reservation may exceed 50%.
It should be noted that FC “Karpaty” has become the seventh club recognized as critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihood of the population in a special period. Previously, such status was given to UPL clubs “Shakhtar”, “Dnipro-1”, “Zorya Obolon” and “Kryvbas”, as well as the Ukrainian Football Association and the Ukrainian Premier League.
