Exploding Hezbollah pagers. Hungarian special services interviewed the general director of the company involved in the devices

Hungarian special services will conduct several interviews with the general director of the Budapest-based BAC Consulting company, which is associated with the pager explosions Hezbollah earlier this week. This was reported by the government of Hungary, Reuters reports.

Earlier, on the second day after the explosions, the Taiwanese company Gold Apollo said: the model of pagers used during the explosions in Lebanon were manufactured by BAC Consulting. The Taiwanese company stated that it only licensed its brand to the Hungarian company and was not involved in the production of the devices.

Meanwhile, Cristiana Barsoni-Arcidiacono, CEO and owner of BAC Consulting, stated that it did not manufacture the pagers and was “only an intermediate link”.

The Hungarian government announced that the country's special services have been conducting their investigation since September 18 (the day after the explosions) and have already interviewed the CEO of BAC Consulting several times.

The government cited by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution – one of the country's intelligence agencies.

The agency repeated the previous statement of the Hungarian Cabinet: they claim that the pagers used during the mass explosions were never in Hungary.

Previously, the government also stated that the BAC Consulting is only a trading and intermediary company that has no production or other facilities in Hungary.
