Explained how soldiers can go abroad and what documents they need

Men of military age from 18 to 60 years of age do not have the right to travel abroad, except for certain categories. These include the military, who were injured and in need of treatment abroad.

As the State Border Service of Ukraine said,  To travel abroad, wounded soldiers need to have three documents that must be shown to border guards:

  • A passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad or a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. If they are not available, then you should show any other document that contains data about the person, on the basis of which the border guards can give permission to leave the country.
  • Conclusion of doctors/medical institutions on the need to send the military for treatment abroad.
  • Letter from the Ministry of Health on the list of persons agreed with the foreign party who can be accepted by health care institutions of foreign states for treatment abroad.
