The French company Sunwind Energy plans to release the solar photovoltaic installation Delta Flore, which combines horticulture and energy generation. It is a light and stable aluminum structure with a container for planting plants. The installation uses double-sided technology with translucent Tedlar to optimize energy efficiency and protect the beds. It has two photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 340 W each. The manufacturer provided for the possibility of combining the installation with other technologies. The cost of one system will be €1,190 and the warranty will last 25 years.
According to a new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), demand growth in 2024 and 2025 will be the highest in the last two decades. Solar PV should meet half of this growth.
