Experts said that tourists in Turkey are 31 times less likely to catch an infection than in Moscow. This information was released by analysts representing the largest insurance company. More than 200 thousand travelers from the Russian Federation, who went to Turkish resorts from August 10 to September 10 of this year, have purchased insurance in the month since the restoration of air traffic between Russia and Turkey.
During this period, 2.4 thousand cases were identified, which are covered by insurance. For this reason, the probability of infection on vacation and referring to a doctor in people was 1.2%. In 2019, the data was about the same. Often, they did not seek medical help for COVID-19 infection; only 11 people were infected. For example, in Moscow, where the population is almost 13 million people, about 20.7 thousand cases were detected during the month. This probability is 0.17%, RIA Novosti reports.
