EXCLUSIVE-OPEC + sees growth in coronavirus infections as a threat to demand

MOSCOW (Reuters) – The OPEC + technical committee has warned that rising coronavirus cases in some countries could dampen oil demand despite signs of economic recovery and initial signs of declining oil inventories, according to an internal document that Reuters reviewed on Thursday.

OPEC and its Russian-led partners are scheduled to hold an online meeting on Thursday to discuss compliance with agreed production volumes and demand trends amid falling oil prices and weakening prospects for economic recovery.
