Evgeny Komarovsky claims that pneumonia is not a diagnosis, but an inflammatory process that has arisen in the lungs. It is of two types: bacterial and viral origin. In the latter case, it is forbidden to be treated with antibiotics, since complications may arise and the risk of a bacterial form of the disease may increase.

According to the TV presenter, in the scientific field there is a lot of evidence of the futility of using antibacterial agents for the purpose of prevention. “This is a huge nonsense, it doesn't work, it's ineffective,” he concluded.

Earlier, Yevgeny Komarovsky named the main mistakes in the treatment of colds.
