Estonia to buy six more HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems from the US

Lockheed Martin in Arkansas has manufactured six new HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems for Estonia, which are planned to be delivered this summer.

According to Ramil Lipp, head of the weapons category at the State Defense Investment Center (RKIK), the systems are ready, only some integration work remains before delivery by sea.

Ammunition is also planned to be supplied, in particular GMLRS missiles (range up to 70 km) and ATACMS (range up to 300 km). The contract for the purchase of HIMARS was signed between the US Defense Industry Agency DSCA and RKIK in 2022.
