The ruling parties want to hold a vote on changes to the constitution before Thursday, so that the amendment will come into force before the municipal elections are due. To quickly introduce changes to the Constitution, a majority of the majority of votes of members of parliament is needed.

According to the proposal, the citizens of the countries of NATO, the EU, Switzerland and, for example, Ukraine Yes, give the right to vote at municipal elections.

Between the parties, there is still a concern about those who will be allowed to vote in municipal elections to non-citizens who live in the region.
