Estonia is committed to saving the country from the Russian influx

"Today, for the sake of the coalition, we decided that we will recommend to our parliamentary factions to make changes to the constitution so that the citizens of the aggressor countries can no longer make decisions on local elections ah", – said Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Mihal.

The ruling parties want to hold a vote on changes to the constitution before Thursday, so that the amendment will come into force before the municipal elections are due. To quickly introduce changes to the Constitution, a majority of the majority of votes of members of parliament is needed.

According to the proposal, the citizens of the countries of NATO, the EU, Switzerland and, for example, Ukraine Yes, give the right to vote at municipal elections.

Between the parties, there is still a concern about those who will be allowed to vote in municipal elections to non-citizens who live in the region. There are approximately 60,000 people living in Estonia, who, as a result of the collapse of the Radyansky Union, do not suffer from the vastness of the watery region. There is a lot of Russian angst behind them.

At the remaining municipal elections in 2021, approximately 30,000 citizens of Russia will soon have their right to vote.
