Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and again invite him to meet with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, according to the Turkish edition Hurriyet.
Erdogan and Putin meet is planned on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. The most important topic of the meeting will be the war in Ukraine, the newspaper notes.
Erdogan will convey a message to his Russian counterpart that Turkey will continue to make every effort to end the war and achieve sustainable ceasefire as part of mediation initiatives. President Erdogan, echoing Putin's proposal to meet leaders in Turkey, will focus on a diplomatic solution.
It is also reported that one of the The main points of order at the upcoming meeting of leaders will be the functioning of the “grain corridor”.
Erdogan will ask Russian goods to be sent along the corridor on ships under the coordination of Turkey.
