Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed with the claims of the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin on the export of Ukrainian grain. He also proposed to resume grain supplies from Russia. Anadolu Ajansı.
Yesterday, September 8, Erdogan held a personal meeting with Croatian leader Zoran Milanovic. At a joint press conference, the Turkish president publicly supported Putin's grain blackmail. He said that Ukrainian grain allegedly goes to rich countries, not to poor regions.
"Unfortunately, the grain that enters the grain shipments goes to rich countries, not to poor ones. While the sanctions against Russia continue, the fact that grain supplies go to the countries imposing these sanctions worries Putin, – Erdogan said.
Moreover, the head of Turkey wanted to resume deliveries of Russian grain.
"We want grain deliveries from Russia to start, we are waiting for this", – he said.
